Forrest Gump (1994)
Comedy - Drama
Forrest Gump is a narrative, which is a fictional movie that tells a story. Forrest Gump is a slower person than most, but never thought of himself as slow. Forrest Gump is played by Tom Hanks. This is about Forrest Gump's life growing up as a young boy and all the accomplishments he has done. He is very inspiring to everyone he meets, but the one person he cares for the most is his childhood love Jenny.
This stood out for me because I have always loved this movie. If it ever playing, no matter what I may be doing, I have to stop and watch it. Just makes you smile. A few lines from the movie are very memorable, where someone who might not have seen the movie has heard of the line from the movie.
"Run, Forrest, Run!"
"I love you Jen-Nay"
"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
"Stupid is as stupid does."
"That's all I have to say about that."
The Restaurant Bubba Gump Shirmp is from the movie as well.
The clip I posted is from the running scene from the movie and is told from Forrest Gump's point of view to random people that sit down next to him on a bench. In this scene you can see the different camera angles and lighting that adds effects to the movie. The clip starts out with head shots of Forrest and Jenny and you can clearly see a rock hit Forrest's head. Instead of watching Forrest fall to the ground it shows you his feet and the braces on his legs to portray that he feel even though you don't actually see it happen. They show Forrest running from the back and then keep going back and forth between the kids chasing him and himself running. Then it zooms in on his legs and braces to show it in slow motion which I feel brings you to the point where you know something is going to happen. Meraculously his braces break off and he begins running perfectly fine. Then back up to Forrest's face to show how happy and shocked he is to see himself running without the help of his leg braces. He out ran the boys on the bikes and ran into a large field as the camera zoomed out to show the amazing hurdle that Forrest just overcame.
